Volunteer Medical Transport (VMT)

This free service provided by YCAP for Yamhill County residents needing non-emergency medical transportation to the Portland area. Volunteer van drivers take riders to hospitals, medical clinics, laboratories, doctor offices and many other locations. This service is designed to assist disabled persons, seniors and Veterans but is available to anyone with a medical need for whom transportation to Portland is a challenge.

HOURS OF OPERATION (excluding holidays)
Monday through Thursday for seniors, disabled and Veterans 
Friday for Veterans only

Medical appointments must be scheduled between 9:00 am – 2:00 pm to allow for travel time.
Departure and arrival times will vary based on passengers medical appointments.

Seating is limited and reservations are required. Contact the Transportation Coordinator directly at 503.472.0457 ext. 21 (toll free 1-800-945-9992 ext 21) to reserve a seat. You will receive a confirmation call the day before your ride with your pick up time.

VMT operational costs are partly funded by a yearly grant from the Yamhill County Special Transportation Fund Committee.
