Board of Directors
As an independent non-profit 501(c)3 organization, YCAP has a governance body responsible for strategic planning, financial reviews, and agency oversight. All members of the Board are selected in a manner to assure they speak and act on behalf of the group, organization, or membership classification which they represent. During a director’s term, they may serve on various board committees, advisory committees, or task force groups. The entire Board of Directors has six regular meetings a year with a seventh annual financial meeting. The finance committee meets monthly.
The members filling the nine director positions must be residents of Yamhill County with the following composition maintained:
One-third of the Board is elected public officials
At least one-third of the Board is representatives of the economically disadvantaged.
The remainder of the Board is comprised of representatives, officials, or members of business, industry, labor, religious, welfare, education, or other major groups and interests in the community.
The Finance Committee has open seats separate from Board members, and individuals interested in serving on the Finance Committee should submit an application describing their qualifications, interests and overall community involvement to michellew@yamhillcap.org
